Galabids.com beware?
Galabids.com is an internet based auction site which at first glance looks like a world of bargains but is it?
This has been my experience with Galabids.com
I found galabids.com site whilst searching for a LCD or Plasma TV. I registered and at first just watched the auctions for about 2 hours. I checked out Galabids holding company at companies house and did a little research to find out if all seemed legit. Everything seemed above board and so I bought some gala bid credits and decided on a screen to start bidding on.
I had seen that generally the screen I wanted was going for between £50 and £80 which for a £600 monitor was a bargain so I waited until the galabids had reached £75 and started bidding. I made sure that I was always bidding and before I knew it and for the first time since I had been watching the screen that I happened to be bidding on went well past £90. I thought this was a little suspect however stuck with galabids having already spent half my credits. I was busy clicking away each time the time got to 5 seconds left and suddenly and without warning the galabids.com auction ended, I did not win and I could not understand why it suddenly finished.
I put this first experience of galabids.com down to bad clicking on my part or a slow internet connection, however I have a 4mb line so was not convinced of the Internet being the issue. I convinced myself that poor clicking was to blame and a more advanced system was required.
I therefore waited until the next day, once again chose a screen, watched the bidding for about an hour and saw that again this time the screen I wanted was generally selling for £75 - £95. This time I set up a bot to automatically click my mouse every 2 seconds bidding automatically meaning there was no way that I could possibly not always be the highest bidder and since the system does not allow you to bid if you are the highest bidder already, guaranteed my the prize if my credits lasted. I bought 800 bid credits and set the bot going. Once again I was suspicious when the bidding went well past the £75 - £95 that all the others were selling for particularly as on this occasion the bidding went well over £190. I once again left it running and yet again the bidding ended without me being the winner having used over 700 of my credits.
In disbelief I watched the same model TV go for less than £80 not minutes afterwards on another auction.
I am now highly suspisious of galabids.com and in my opinion either their system is not working correctly or there is something underhand going on. Either way my recommendation regarding using galabids.com is this.
DO NOT USE GALABIDS.COM, IF YOU HAVE THE SAME EXPERIENCE AS ME YOU WILL JUST LOSE YOUR MONEY.
